Source Control For Mel

How do you guys handle source control with MEL?
Is there a text editor that has source control support?

Same as i do for C++. Tortoise SVN is what is use, but vss or cvs will work quite happily too.

As does perforce (which is what i use at work).

All code is just text and the version cotrols resort to text diffs. This by the way this means even maya ascii files work on version control and you can have 2 persons working onhe same document and merge them together,

Thanks, but my question is if there is an environment (editor) for MEL that incorporates source control (e.g. SVN).
Visual Studio has that kind of capabilities for example.

No. Though you can easily integrate source control yourself (with a decent text editor) since svn is command line driven. Should be able to make an editor such as emacs, textpad, scite etc blat out the relevent command line commands. I still prefer a shell integration such as Tortoise though....

Thanks again

Also i know a few people who use visual studio for editting mel and thus get the source controll for there.

I also prefer shell extensions.
