Sourcing scripts

What is an easy way to have a script sourced when maya loads so you do not have to manually source it before you run it?

Also, is there a way to set a script to set Render Globals?
I used the script editor and told it to record all, but it didn't take down any numerical values...

Sorry about all the questions, I'm very new to using mel and haven't been able to find the answers I need in the online files or books.

Do any of you guys know a good book on MEL? I have been using Maya Complete 2 and Learning Maya 2. They go into scripting a little, but not to the degree I need...
thanks,

You need to create a script node through the expression editor or MEL. This will execute a script when Maya loads. As far as Render Globals goes, I would change values normally, and then view the script editor history to see what the correct syntax is. I do this usually when commands are not listed in the manuals.

Cool, thanks. I will check out the expression editor.
As to Render Globals, I have set the echo all commands in the script editor and changed the fields, but it doesn't give any numbers in the history. So, when I save the history and re-run it it doesn't change any values. The only commands echoed in the script editor are the windows I opend and the name of the fields I edited, but there is no integers included to be able to reedit the fields. That's why I was wondering if there was some other way to do it...

There probably is. I'll need to check into that.

Try to modify the renderGlobalsWindow.mel. There they are all the parameters that charges the render globals. It
