Novice 3DSMax user driving version 2013.
I'm trying to populate a shape created using edge selection >> create shape from edge.
Origin of original linear object is on the left, travelling to the right. Have tried freezing transform on it, doesn't change outcome. Spline and object are not at global origin.
Object is a polygon - froze transformations, rotations before spacing tool applied.
Spacing tool uses start from end, specify spacing; edges, follow; copy.
You can see in the attached the populated object is rotated immediately, and then twists around spline shape. Try to ignore the purple lines in the blue area, the 3ds file was imported into another 3d polygon app.
I need the shape to "flow" along the spline, always facing the direction of the spline, and not twisting like this. How do I do that?
