Speeding Up A Movment?

Hey Guys,

wondering what i'm missing, but i haven't been able to find any information on varying the speed with which a move happens in shake 4.1. Bassically i have a ship moving across a star scape with a move2d node but i'm looking to add some variation to the speed within the shot. What i'm getting now are really smooth moves that are basically spread across the duration of the take. I'm looking to have the movent slightly accelerate.

hiya,
have a look at the curve editor.
if you have set keyframes for start and end point you'll see it there along with the curve indication the current movement. if it's not there you can load it up with the stopwatch icon nect the the keyframe icon of the animated parameter.

then add new points (shift key) and distort the curve as needed.
check the manual for animating keyframes and the curve editor, there's tons of good info there.
