yea, that's not really what I'm trying to achieve...I want them to not be already in position at the start of the scene, I could just set the initial state after the simulation has been running like what you said but that would have them already emitted . What I have is a curve emitter with a turbulence field generating most of the motion of the particles with a conserve of about .7 to keep them under control. Now that makes there motion look really cool, but it makes them go really slow with the conserve value, but if I change the conserve it doesn't get those nice tight turbulence tendrils...So I want the animation that haapens from say frame 1 to 150 to happen in the range of 1 to 45 or something similar...I dont' know if something like the timeWarp node would do this...since it's a dynamic sim I don't think so, and it' not like baking a rigid body sim where you get curves in that can be scaled to different values...Any help would be apreciated....
