I would like to stretch a cloth round an object and fix it in that position.
How can this be done? I've been going through quite a few tutorials but almost all of them describe how to fix the cloth to one point and letting it move from thet point on.
Let's say I've got a box with a small pointy triangle positioned on top of it. I would like to stretch the cloth from one edge of the box, over the triangle point and fix it on the other end of the box. This should leave some open space between the cloth and the box because of the point of the triangle. During the animation the cloth shouldn't bend down unless a different object hits the cloth realy hard. Is this situation possible?
To make it a bit harder: What if the triangular point has rubber characteristics. Again, I would like the cloth to stay in a stretched position unless a different object hits the triangle and therefor bumps in the rubber triange.
I realize this is probably something that can't be explained that easily but some point outs might be very handy and very appreciated. Also considering the fact I just started getting in to Maya.
