Stupid, evil, vanishing manipulator handles

Hello everyone-

I am having a strange problem with a free version of Maya 2011 that i got from the Autodesk website.(i am a student). The manipulator handles for all of the tools i can think of are not visible in my perspective camera panel. I still have access to the relevant attributes in the the channel box and the attribute editor. The handles are visible and functional in any of the orthographoc views.
I checked the Show menu to make sure that everything is visible.
I trashed my preferences and restarted Maya.
I checked through the entire Display menu.
I tried creating a new perspective camera and using that but still no handles.

Any ideas?

Its known issue with certain graphics cards that are not qualified to run maya. Try a dufferent driver version.

Hi,My Maya 2011 met a license issue on Windows 7.I want to use Maya to design barcode generator,but i can't get the access to it.Dose anyone have any idea how to solve this issue on win 7 ?

License was not obtained
Tried Maya 2011 (657C1 2011.0.0.F), error 20

License method:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD=’standalone’

Product choice:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE=’unlimited’

License file override:
environment variable MAYA_ALT_EN is not set

I wonder whether the barcode SDK you mentioned above offers free barcode reading service as well? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
