Stupid question...detaching from motion path

I have an object that is attached to a motion path, but I have decided that I don't want it attached anymore. How do you detach it? I don't want to delete the motion path curve because I have a different object that I want to assign to the same path.

click on the attached object and inthe attribute editor you will see a motion path tab click on it hit select and then delete

My question is about objects on a motion path too, so forgive me if I put it here. It'll keep the board less cluttered if I don't add an entirely new topic.

Okay, how do you switch the beginning of a motion path to the other end of the curve? Will I have to redraw the entire curve?

Either run Edit Curves -> Reverse curve direction on your curve.

Or then just ajust the values of your key pairs (if you enable cshapes in outliner uou can select them and chabge their key values)

Or reverse the anim curve....
