How is he coming along?
New contour lines work great!
Please help...he has so far to go....

IT'S ALL ABOUT MAGIC

Looking great, but the ear needs to come a lot closer to the jawbone. And the space between the upper lip and nose is a little too much.
Are you looking at reference images? If not you need to, that way you can simply see what needs to be changed and we won

I thought they would. =)
It looks better but still needs more work.
The lips shouldn't stick out that much, round out the nostrils more, and get rid of that crease in the side of his face. Also the ear looks too far back and the jawline is too short.

Then increase the height of his cranium and make the forehead straigeter and not so slopped.

Lastly, you need to look at some eyes, you'res are way too round, and you still need tearducts.

still, it's looking much much better, keep the work and you soon will be happy with the results!

your using way too much detail.
localize your detail...as in..use it where its needed. if you dont need it somewhere then dont use it..because smoothing will take care of that.

I agree with ambient. WAAY too many polys. I know heads can be hard, especially human ones, but if you can localise the detail and use far less polys on your low poly version, the smooth version will look much nicer. Still, great work so far, keep it up!

Agreed also, way too many polys for what you need, especially the forehead.

I would also think more about how a face creases when expressions are formed. Try to get your edges to flow with these crease lines. An example area would be where the upper lips meet the cheeks. When a person smiles there is a real big line here. Modelling this in will help if you want to deform the model later, but will also add a little more detail for now. You don't have to make it pronounced for a neutral pose.

Also, think of other instances of this throughout the head, ie, forehead, eyes, etc...

The brows also need to be lowered. He has a slightly surprised pose in the eye region right now.
