SXI4.2 foundation can't open files

Hi People

I just downloaded SXI foundation 4.2 30day trial. I guess the trial has no limitation for 30days. I was following SXI tutorials, and I can't open tutorial files. I made a sphere in SXI and saved the scene, SXI can't opend the file as well. Is anything wrong with this matter? It is because of 30day trial?? I am using maya at work, but trying to us other software like SXI or 3dmax for freelance. have any idea???

when you say you can not open it - can you be more specific. Are you getting an error message (alt +F4) will show you. Are you blocked from dragging and dropping a scene into any of the views. At what stage are you blocked?

I just went to file open menu. and pick file from there. It looks like reading file in.(I can see progress bar progressing.) and another menu comes out... the file couldn't be read. This is weird problem....I can't go for the tutorial without fixing this problem.

That is weird. Trying to open scenes in an older version often gives this error. I would suggest asking support@softimage.com as without seeing the errors it is difficult to repro. Did you open the script log (Alt-F4) to see any more details as to why it won't open?
