Hey, im looking for a new system to run maya 3 and maybe later maya4 in the future. I dont know much about hardware or buliding computers. Is there any good packages or complete systems for sale under 3g's, which will get me started. I can make some mods like maybe change a card, but not much more. Thanks dudes
Hitting up a place such as gamepc.com or apocalypsepc.com might be a good solution. Alienware.com has some neat cases 
You will probably pay a little more but if you can't build your own you'll know it will be stable.

I put together a system there with a gig of ddr ram, dual 1.4 athlon CPU's , 18gb 10k ultra scsi drive and a geforce 3 video card for under 3k. It rocks!!!!
