Does anyone know why texture icons sometimes don't display in the Hypershader/Multilister/Attribute Editor? I never ran into this prior to Maya 2009. Some textures just show up as a default icon. It makes the hypershader very difficult to navigate cause all the nodes look alike. And it propogates downstream, so when you're adjusting shading attributes, you don't get a preview in the material sample window.
Perhaps there's a correlation to file format, but I've never noticed what that correlation might be. And again, it was never an issue in older versions of Maya.
I'm guessing there must be a setting to change this?
