Howdy-
I have looked for the answer I need in the forums and can't seem to find any helpful info, so I figured I'd post a question.
I have having problems with the way a texture appears in the viewport versus how it looks when rendered, specifically regarding to it's relative size to the geometry. By this I mean, when I apply a texture with, let's say, a cellular map in the diffuse slot to a piece of geometry and press the 'Show Map in Viewport' button, the cellular pattern appears at a different size when viewed in the viewport than at render. In this case the cell pattern looks much smaller in the viewport than in the rendered image. I seem to remember that I ran across a setting to fix this very issue in an older version of Max in either one of the preference dialog windows or setup window, but can't seem to locate that feature in Max 9?
Does anyone know how I can fix the issue of maps appearing differently in the viewport, or where the setting might be to change it, if there is one?
thx
