The Valley

Hi, this is a digital matte paint for my last student project. it's a composite of still photagraphs. did it in photoshop and after effect for animation.
What do u think?

I'm trying to visualize this. I really like the work, I'm just trying to see if the lighting flows correctly. I see what appears to be lighting from behind me, facing towards the left cliff wall, and likewise on the right, but when looking into the valley, it seems as though the light is more from overhead, or even from the distance further out from the rain storm clouds, which ARE very good. I mean don't get me wrong, this is excellent work, but just making sure the lighting is exactly correct, and that the DOF is correct. I would have to look at a few pictures of canyons with different camera's and see what it comes out to be.

I think dof and lighting aside, you need to fix your grain/hair problems. You've got a hair in the clouds on the left side and there's a huge amount of grain through the clouds.

There are plenty of tools to help but often (especially in photoshop) you'll find yourself painting/blurring it away.

I don't know what the forground elements were, or how it fit into the scene, but personally I think its cool on its own two feet
