Dripping slime???? how much work you willing to put into this one... thats a tall order.
Wet shader, easy I'm sure there are many ways out there. This is one I often use Layered shader, bottom layer is normal dry alien with what ever you are using for color bump spec etc. Top shader is a transparent blinn, remap the same bump into the top shaders bump, and give it a real tight bright spec hit start with an ecc = .1 spec roll off = 1.5. Adjust to approriate levels. Then do very slight reflection map of your environment in its reflectivity just to get hints of color and reflections (very slight environ cube). This will give it an over all wetness, if you only want it wet like this in certain areas, then you'll have to do more work with alphas.
