Three Legged Machine

Hey guys,
so i've been working on this model for a short film i shot live action. It's pretty simple, anybody have any ideas for ways to spruce it up? add some detail? Any input would be cool, Thanks!

Looks ok so far but it's hard to really see it. The renders are too dark.
