Hi, Gurb!
Well... SteveSayer is as ... as the F1, because none of them explain the
real procedure to solve this little problem.
In order to solve this question it is necessary to change a simple
Environment Variable of Maya.
Just do this:
In Windows 2000:
1) Close Maya
2) In the desktop, right click on My Computer and choose Properties
3) Click on the Advanced tab
4) Click on the Environment Variables tab
5) Under "Sytem variables" click "New"
6) In the Variable field put "IMF_TIFF_COMPRESSION" (without quotation marks)
7) In the Value field put "none" (without quotation marks)
8) Ok, Ok, Ok.
That's all!
Now you can start Maya again. From this moment your renders saved in tiff format are
uncompressed.
