Timeline Glitch

My cuurent frame position on the time line changes when ever I move the mouse. This happens when none of the mouse buttons are depressed and I can be woking in any of the other tabs. This happens on both of my workstations.

Example: I move the cursor to the right side of the screen and the current frame position will follow, usually to the end of the timeline. Again, none of the mouse buttons are depressed.

The only way to solve this is to "Save as" or quit Shake. So, I'm quiting or "Saving as" every 3 or 4 minutes.

System Info: Shake 4/G5/Dual2.5(not dual core)/10.4.5/8GB RAM

are you using a wacom board by any chance?

yes i have the same problem. sometimes. in most cases it helps when you maximize a tab...go with the mouse over the node viewer and press space. sometimes it will help out, if not like you wrote. save, exit, restart shake.

Yes, I am using a Wacom board. It happens when I use the pen or the mouse.

there used to be a glitch in Shake which most likely still exists where when you used the wacom pen to move the cursor out of the Shake window and then used the mouse to move it back into it the first click in the Shake gui would kinda "hang" as if you were holding down the button therefore blocking everything else. you could fix it by using the wacom pen to right click into the node view so give that a try.

Are your video files on a server?

Has anyone confirmed this glitch? I have 3 Shake stations that are all experiencing this very annoying problem from time to time. All 3 have a 9x12 wacom tablet and we are using a server w/ files. However one person says they never use the mouse only the wacom tablet and has still experienced the problem. So is anyone still experiencing this or come up w/ a solution that's been confirmed. What ever it is either Apple or Wacom need to fix it!!

I don't think that's goint to happen seeing that Shake has been declared last version/unsupported or, if you will - dead.

I also had the problem when I worked with files who where on a server.
I had the impression that the server couldn't follow. And that that affected the mouse/wacom/timeline-problem

Then I tried to copy the files local on my G5, and everything was ok.
