Translating on Multiple Axis's

Is there a way to move a point on multiple axis's without having to hold down both mouse keys ?

I tried clicking on both axis's ICON on the right panel, but that didn't help ... =(

use the "M" key

Instead of the Global or Local coordinate system, choose the View coordinate system. Then you can move the objects in two directions at the same time in 2D views.
