Hello all,
I'm a newbie to the 3D world, and am having some difficulty getting a robot horse I've modeled to move correctly. Two problems: (1) How do I add the ankle bones and IK handles, and still have the legs animate properly? It would seem the solution is two IK handles on each leg, one for the upper and lower leg, then one for the ankle. However, this does not work without the ankle rotating out of place on me. So how to do this? (2) The walk cycle. I've studied the motion of real horses, but for the life of me I can't figure out the steps for making this guy walk, even if we limit his animation to just the leg-bones. Please help! Any feedback is welcome, but of course step by step directions are best! Using Maya 2015, SP4 on OS X. I've included a Dropbox Link to the Maya Binary file for reference.
Thanks!
