Trying to load a plugin (PolyTrans)... help!

I am using Maya 4 on Win2k. I downloaded the Polytrans demo from Okino.com, and installed it. I got this error from the Maya shell:

The plugin is definately located in that location.

When I bring up my plug-in manager, there is nothing there except "C:/AW/Maya 4/bin/plug-ins/" and "Other registered plugins". There are no plugins listed, and no functionality shown.

That sounds bad.. first of all uninstall polytrans and make sure the other plugins are loading correctly.

Then make sure this plugin is compiled for Maya 4
