Hello:
There are tutorials that COME with Combustion v2 software: Both the DEMO and the one you BUY.
Haven't you looked for them?
regards,

co-host at the www.creativecow.net Combustion Forum.
There are also some you can download from the Disceret site.
Here is the run-down:
combustion v2 tutorials> Downloadable > At the Discreet website, there are the following combustion v2 tutorials. Note that these lessons are excerpts from the included tutorials that come with the Combustion v2 demo and product CD-ROM. The link to these combustion 2 Demo Tutorials is : http://www.discreet.com/products/combustio...\_tutorials.html
If you purchased combustion 2, you should install the tutorials from the software CD and use the printed combustion 2 tutorials book. Or, you can use the DEMO vesion of combustion v2 (Note: with demo version software, you are NOT able to save your work, and when you render, you get a large red X on the screen.) These downloadable lessons include: a PDF instruction file with Lesson Descriptions, a ZIP file with the video or graphical elements, and the results in a zip file. Before downloading lesson files, look at the Welcome to combustion PDF file. This document includes: Detailed descriptions of the lessons, Conventions and terminology used in the tutorials, Instructions for setting the preferences needed for the tutorials.
That file is called: combustion_v2_Welcome_to_combustion.pdf (264 KB)

combustion v2 tutorials> With the DEMO Version, as well as Purchased Combustion v2 Software-- Note that these lessons are included tutorials that come with the Combustion v2 demo and product CD-ROM. Lessons 1, 7, 9 and 12 are the same as posted at the Discreet website. If you purchased combustion 2 or have the demo version, you simply install the tutorials from the software CD. Instructions are available as a PDF with the demo version, and printed with the purchased version. (Side Note: with demo version software, you are NOT able to save your work, and when you render, you get a large red X on the screen.)
--combustion Tutorials with Cv2 Demo and Full Versions: 1 Touring combustion -Exercise: Tour a combustion Workspace -Open a workspace and explore the options for viewing the composite. Tour the Workspace panel and learn about layers and operators. Explore the Schematic view. Play the clip in real time by rendering it to the RAM cache. Render the result clip as a Video for Windows file. 2 Creating Composites in 2D Space - Exercise: Create an Animated Composite: Import footage for a composite. Examine an alpha channel by choosing viewport views and view modes. Apply an alpha channel as a matte to an image and then animate its position and scale. Use the Timeline to modify the motion path of a layer. 3 Compositing in 3D Space - Exercise: Build a Composite in 3D Space- Build a 3D scene from 2D layers. Scale the layers and position the layers at different Z-depth. Then, animate the camera to give depth and movement to the composite. Import additional images and add shadows using two techniques to give even more depth to the composite. To have a better understanding of how to use 2D layers, the camera, and lights for greater depth, view the composite using the Perspective and Rotate tools. 4 Using Paint - Exercise 1: Draw and Animate Basic Objects - Create the face of a cartoon character using basic Paint objects and animate their position. Import an audio file and slip it to sync with the video. Exercise 2: Retouch a Clip Remove a wire from a clip using Paint objects and cloning techniques. Use the Tracker to make the Paint objects follow the camera pan in the clip. 5 Tracking and Stabilizing - Exercise 1: Apply Tracking Data to a Mask - Use a rectangular mask and a polygon mask to composite a clip of a sailboat on a new background. Use tracking to make the polygon mask follow the motion of the sailboat. Animate the shape of the polygon mask to fit the shape of the sail. Exercise 2: Stabilize a Clip - Use the Tracker and a Stabilize 1 Point operator to stabilize a jittery clip. Use the RAM Player to compare the stabilized clip to the original jittery clip. 6 Keying - Exercise: Create a Composite Using the Keyer -Use the Discreet Keyer to pull a key from a green-screen clip using the Channel and YUV Keyer modes. Remap the luminance of the matte using the histogram. Suppress the color spill and soften the edges of the key. Add a blur effect to match the focus of the front and back clips. 7 Using Masks - Exercise: Hide Part of the Scene with Masks - Use masks to hide part of the scene. Feather the masks using edge gradients. Then, animate the masks to follow the movement of the camera. Create a spooky atmosphere by changing the surface properties of a layer and by adding a Glow operator to the character. 8 Color Correcting -Exercise 1: Color Correct Using the Histogram Controls - Use the histograms in the Discreet Color corrector to analyze color channels in an image. Adjust gamma and gain using the Basics controls. Use the Compare tool to compare the color-corrected image to a reference image as you make the corrections. Exercise 2: Color Correct Using the Curves Controls - Use the Curves controls in the Discreet Color Corrector to analyze color and make corrections to a problematic image. 9 Animating Particle Effects -Exercise: Add a Particle to a Moving Spaceship - Add a particle emitter to a moving spaceship. As the clip plays, edit the properties of the particle emitter types to adjust their color, brightness and thickness. Then, learn how to clean up the composite so the particles do not appear in front of the spaceship. 10 Working with Paint Selections - Exercise 1: Apply Effects to Selections -Use selection objects to isolate parts of a clip for applying color correction and effects. Animate the selection objects to follow the camera pan in the clip. Exercise 2: Stacking Selections with Paint Objects - Create a composite within Paint to become familiar with the effects of moving selections and Paint objects in the Timeline stack.
11 Animating Layers in 3D Space - Exercise: Animate Layers and Objects - Import multiple image sequences and position them in different Z-depth. Then, animate the layers and add text objects to the layers. Animate the properties of the layers and text objects to bring the presentation to life. Use the Speed channel to change how the objects travel along their motion paths.
12 Working with Motion Graphics - Exercise: Build a Complex Workspace and Animate Its Elements - Import a single clip into the workspace and build a title sequence by combining several filters and operators. Integrate text animation and particle effects to the workspace to give the workspace a treated look.
13 Using Scenes from 3ds max - Exercise 1: Working with 3D Scenes in a Single Layer - Import rich pixel footage rendered in 3ds max
