i need help on a tutorial. it says to tweak the vertices to get a basic head shape. but how do i tweak the vertices? do i just use the universal manipulator or is there a specific function for it?
hold right click over your object then select vertices from the options (face hull etc.) then do the same to go back to object mode when you're done (or click on another object which usually gets you back to object mode. you can use the standard tools, as well as shift and ctrl to adjust selections
sam
thank you very much man
wait how do i select each vertice to maniplulate? i can only manipulate the faces
i think you're in vertex face mode, in vertex mode you're vertices should be selectable like in the image below:

Tip: Get something like snagit, its cheap and fulfills ALL capture need ive had*. But to be honest heres several FREE screen capture things that do this capture this like irfanview That does this nicely.
*now by far the coolest capture is ability to capture non selectable dialog texts as text. Also the full window capture comes handy. But its one of those must have cheap app that can make your life so much nicer, another must for maya users is quicktime Pro
