UK Salaries: Freelance and Full-time

What are average salaries for a character animator working in London as 1) freelance 2) full-time. What is a realistic monthly cost of moderate living in London. I'm thinking of relocating, and I would like to get a realistic idea of what to expect.

it always varies place to place, especially in London, as its the centre of main activity for anything like that in England. And bcos im not in industry, I cant help specifically with rate of pay there, but i can tell you that there are some lovely areas in London, as there are some naff areas as well. can reange between about

London is expensive.
In my experience it is better to move to a job than to come down here and look for one. But you might be luckier (I just landed one overseas ! ;}
As for the cost of living.... well, have a look on www.loot.com under the flatshare option/property and also on www.thegumtree.com

haven't been there in years but i think you're looking at 100 pounds a week for a closet in london (or its environs) at minimum, it is horendously expensive as i recall. as for sallaries, haven't got a clue.

Do you know what the current conversion rate is with London and Canada. Here in Toronto Artists with production skills can make $35,000 to $50,000 starting. I was wondering how that compares to London or working in the suburbs outside of London? Does anyone know what the top companies in England are paying for Freelance Artists?
