Undo Queue In Maya 7.0

hello all.

i have a simple question that has been causing me alot of inconvienience as of lately.

i am running maya v7.0, and just recently after every time i save a file(i think that's when this is taking place)...the undo queue turns itself off.

i found this when undoing a command, the help line says
'Error: The undo queue is turned off'

so i go 1.into>settings/preferences>undo> and check the undo queue back on.
2.save the preferences in the bottom of the window.

-then it works for a bit until (like i said, i think after saving a file) it reverts back to the same situation.

has anybody encountered this situation? either yes or no, is there a solution?

no cant say i have encountered. Is ist possible thet the files themselves have somekind of scriptnodes that do this? Or is it possible thet the save routine has been replaced by a mel that overrides this.

thanks for the reply.
i will continue working until i can replicate the exact set of events that make this annoying situation arise, so then there will be a better idea about the situation.
