Universities that teach Maya

Does anybody know which Universities in the US teach Maya and animation principles in depth?.......the only one I know is RIT

William Patterson University of New Jersey

There's the University of Central Florida and Fullsail here in Orlando, FL.

Both teach Maya, but I can only speak on behalf of Fullsail: you'll get the principles of animation down pat and towards the end of your 15 month course (after modeling, shading and lighting, storyboarding classes, etc.) you'll get -plenty- of time to animate in Maya.

o yea? things have changed at old F Sail, well, thats good. We fought to get any time to aniamte when I went there, let alone to create a demo reel.
I still woun't recomened UCF if you have a choice of BA degree schools. I have a freind going there and , he says itsgetting much better , but right now you don't learn to enough REAL education to get a job with. But again, this is just from seeing what a close friend has learned in the last 3 years he's been there..(it is getting better)
BUT! ---

In Sarasota there is a REAL good school if you are an excellent traditional artist , definitly send your stuff to them for revue. Its an excellent art program.

I go to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. The 3D program is all in Maya. You can get your Bach or your Masters. It's pretty good in my opinion.

IO am amazed at all these schools teaching Maya and computergraphics , not to mention the amount of people getting into a business that , well, its growing that much currently.
I hope everyone has a minor. I wish best of luck to al who are taking the chance.
