Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to anyone who has helped me or replied to my previous post's - Thanks.
I have had some 3d models made in Maya and right now they are just having the animations done, these models are going to be used in a 3d race viewer. The problems start with the fact that the only 3d viewer engine I could get (afford) has been made in directx and therefore the maya models have to be converted/exported into >X format.
Easier said than done, nither the viewer programmer or the artist know how to do this and I am desperately seeking help because moral is getting low and time running out.
Can anyone please help me!!
Does anyone have any experience in this, if you have i really need your help either in a tutorial fashion (and I will attempt to do it myself
) or if you have the time you maybe able to convert them for me. I can pay a little if this helps.
I have been trying to do it using the Okino maya for polytrans plugin/software demo and I have been exploring the possibility of deepex (4) but none of these have been succesfull. The Okino demo misses every 5th frame and as the software is super expensive I am not sure this is a real option - besides when I made the export in demo the whole thing just came out garble.
