Using 2 Button Mouse Under Windows Xp

I am having trouble using Maya with 2 button mouse under windows XP.

I cannot track with Middle Mouse Button (MMB).
Pressing both Left and Right buttons together does not work.

Under settings/preferences>Interface there is only one option to enable or disable wheel mouse.
No option for 1,2, 3 button mouse.

Could not find any info in the hlpe too.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

you should remember that in Maya, a three buttons mouse is not optional, NO MATTER WHAT OS YOU ARE USING, 3BM is a requirement, for the one reason the MMB CONTROLS TRACKING, and other movements, for instance the graph editor. So, you' bter move to a 3bm, they are all sizes, colors, and shapes.

I use maya on windows/mac/linux
The strange thing is maya will let users configure 1,2,3 button on a mac but not on windows.
They could have easily allowed this to happen.
Ya I know there is trouble with track editor,outliner, etc

Anyways looks like there is no easy way other than setting hotkeys till I get mouse changed in all machines.

yes that because mac users have only one button! And they made some consensus on mac way of doing things. BUt they havent doen so on linux or windows beacsue on nix itts customary to have 3 and allmost all normal mice have a 3rd button (the scrollwheel)

you could bind "setToolTo trackSuperContext;" to a hotkey. I had to do that on my laptop....
