Same here. I am trying to open my 3Ds max model in Maya using the "Send to" from Max to Maya. It worked BUT it triangulate my model.
I also tried export it to FBX in Max. Then import the fbx in Maya, results is the same. My model got triangulated. When I export using FBX it doesn't have option to keep quads, only has Triangulate check or uncheck, and I already unchecked that option. Which shouldn't triangulate the model.
