Using notepad for writing expressions

Please,
Does anybody out there know how to connect or link Windows NT notepad to Maya2.5 so that when you want to write or edit expressions, Maya automatically launches notepad.
The manual says you can but it didn't say how. Any help or tip will be greatly appreciated.

I think there is a drop down tab in the expression editor window where you can specify either using the expression editor, or a text editor. What's wrong the good old cut and paste?

Instead of Notepad, you should try UltraEdit32 (free demo available, special patch availble for demo ).
Then download the wordlist.txt file from here. Now UltraEdit will color code your script commands and strings (like those fancy programming editors).
