Hi all
I have a question (that I apologies if its been covered prior)
We are upgrading or VFX dept and one of the goals is to build a as near to real time / fast as possible Nuke system (understanding that it is not exactly possible).
I guess the first thing would be has any one ventured down this road and if so any configuration / hardware tips would be happily welcomed, we are looking at raids and video cards but any specific pointers would be great.
the other is Vray files into nuke, now I know that VRay renders and writes it files to buckets / data segments (not sure of the exact term) and Nuke reads files in a line by line manner, I am told because of this we will not get the maximum performance out of nuke because of this..
I was hoping that some one be able to comment on this, is this the case and if there is a performance hit is it negligible or considerable are there work rounds other than a different renderer or batching out files after VRay.
thank you all again
