i have the same settings as yours....
does it work for your really?!
what version of linuxwacom driver do u use?
I can have pressure in gimp and shake...but not in maya...
whats your linux box?
thx in advance!
PS I am trying the tablet to work two years now...and i cant! whats your tablet?
[snapback]221998[/snapback]
The tablet is Graphire 3.
The driver version I'm using is linuxwacom-0.6.9. Suse 9.3 distro, default kernel (which has precompiled modules for alll kinds of stuff, including all the needed usb drivers etc. You might need to check the kernel side as well.).
I _do not_ use an usb mouse, instead i have a usb>ps2 switch between the mouse and the motherboard input, I am not sure it would work at all if i was using usb connector for the mouse.
Make sure you get your xorg.conf to look _exactly_ as mine above! This is crucial for Maya, all the devices have to have the same name as there, etc (stylus button etc.). Again, this is crucial. Double check it 10 times.
Use wacdump program from driver on all your devices in /dev/input untill you see some device was found, then symlink it to /dev/input/wacom.
Check if your driver is up and running in X:
# xsetpointer -l
"eraser" [XExtensionDevice]
"wacom" [XExtensionDevice]
"cursor" [XExtensionDevice]
"Mouse[1]" [XPointer]
"Keyboard[0]" [XKeyboard]
"NVIDIA Event Handler" [XExtensionDevice]
Use xidump -l to list what x sees also.
Other then this I am not sure what else.. Again, untill i've set all those things to be named _EXACTLY_ as in my previously posted xorg.conf, althogh my tablet and pen worked, I couldn't get Maya to recognize pressure etc. After I've put this in - it did.
