It is actually Theo Diamantis from Softimage. He is posting everything relevant to XSI. Its cool to leave it in the XSI forums but no where else.

This is the same guy that basically has decided highend3d is not worth advertising with.

Well that makes sense .. I had allready noticed that he only ever posts promotional materials for XSI and otherwise contributes nothing else to forums. If it were a user then I'd say posting announcements about software in the Buzz section is cool. I dunno... it's a bit of a pickle. For whatever it's worth and I really don't like XSI's current slogan .. regardless of what others have done in the past and wether or not it's just marketing hyperbole it's still classless..

Here's some hypothetical slogans ...

Maya "all of your users belong to us"
LW "Sit on it"
Houdini "Procedural this"
Rhino "guess where our horn is today"
XSI "Look at me"
MAX "smell my finger"

im fine with most stuff like user groups but for them to use our site to announce product launches and then say we arent worth advertising their product is not cool. Its not something I want to do but when its the same people that say no to advertising we have no choice. If that were the case everyone would use our forums, news, tutorial links, and plugin sections to promote their products.

Softimage hasnt advertisement for more then 3 months in 7 years of us supporting their software. Remember lumis.com was first a softimage site
