Water drop effect.

Someone said to try this question in this discussion group....

I dont know if I would use a program like illustrator or efter effects or even Maya to do this but the drops of water that you commonly see on beer labels or drink packaging. How would I do this an with what program?

to give an object water condensation in maya:
other than modelling the droplets....

hmm I have an idea....use particles....take your object thats supposed to have the condensation, emit particles from that object...umm make the particles collide with the glass and give it no resilliance just add sum friction.....so they stick to the surface.... then makem blobby surface and add your shader to make look like liquid.....I know i dont make much sense but here try this tutorial for softimage xsi its the exact thing your lookin for and im sure you can transfer it over to maya..... http://www.softimage.com/Education/XSI/SelfPacedLearning/tutorials/webTutorials/XSI_1_5/BEER/beer.pdfhttp://www.softimage.com/Education/XSI/Sel...5/BEER/beer.pdf
