My Character is made of polygons, except for the head and has some 400,000 polys. Now, I know it shouldn't be this dense but there is still no excuse; my argument thus goes: How can I weight it properly? Its almost impossible to do it using modify weights and the bounding model method, as described in the blue inside softimage book doesn't seem to cut it either. My elbow joints bend terribly, cutting into the corners causing horrible creases; how can I change this? I've noticed from my own arm that as I bend my forearm, the skin on the outside of my elbow begins to stretch and go tight while the skin on the inside of the joint not only creases but moves up my arm (do you know what I mean?) Is there any way to mimic this, like a button in softimage called "the elbow mimic"? Can anyone help me? Should I try importing my model into Xsi, assigning weights there and then re-importing into Soft (Does a re-import save weighting information, Am i asking too many questions?)
