I 've never try it, but i want to know what will happen. Can i envolope a polygon model to a bone, weight every CV then subdivide it? Or i must subd first then envolope it.
It is going to do an auto assignment again, as though you just created the global envelope.
As a rule, life for animators is a lot easier if you complete your envelope geometry before you rig it.

But if the model is a low poly model, and i need to smooth it. That would be a nighmare to weight the smoothed object. Do i get a choice for it? I don't mind to weight. Since i get used to it, but that would be great if it is able to envolope it first.
