how do I weld nearby points together in the same object? the latest version of soft does not have polygon-weld.
Correct. Right now there is no weld points in XSI. But if you snap your points together, and apply "assemble surfaces", the points that are snapped together should be solved as one.
I'm not 100% on this, so give it a try and let me know.

There is no "assemble surfaces" for SI Extreme but I was able to figure it out. I used "cleanup" and selected all options except for "merge polys if less than". You're right about the points having to be snapped together. Thanks.
