What Does Mental Ray Diffuse Do In Shake Compositing?

That is a normal pass. It is for doing relighting of a scene.

could u explain the relighting of scene means ?

I know how to use maya , also know how to composite elements using multi pass...but never used " normal " pass....

Changing the 3d lighting by using 2d methods. "Relighting" the scene in 2d.
