What is the fastest way to cut a sphere in a half?

hi everyone~
what is the fastest way to cut a sphere (which get from get->primitive) into a half?
will the cutting method be different if the sphere is a Bspline and a NURBS?

this method might not be the best, but i find it quick and easy for NURBS spheres

in model mode, press d & e simultaneously, (shortcut to delete points) then start clickin on CV's from one pole to the center. it will delete a row at a time.

might also work for B-spline, but i just dont know!

cant you just draw an arch...copy it around an axis and loft?.

can you displace the points like in houdini?..using an expression?..
a simple sine or cos expression should do

isnt there a circle tool?.
cuz then you could take the circle and make it open....and rotated only 180 degrees.

or you could try extracting a curve from a sphere.?.

does this have to be nurbs?.

To cut a sphere in half use:
Draw/Cut
This will work on BSplines or NURBS. For a polymehs, just tag one half of the sphere, go to TAG mode (bottom right of screen) and then select Delect/Selection.

Bspline patches: Model > Draw > Cut.
NURBS: Model > Draw > Cut.
Polygons: Model > Effect > Plane Clipping. (or slice+).

Could'nt you just create a hemisphere and rotate it?

thanks for your suggestion~~ i think the easiest way to make a hemisphere is by rotate an arc~
