I have thought about it and im sure everbody reading this has thought about it. we all have our dreams of what should be featured in shake and i am going to make a list of what I wish it could be capable of.
1 - camera tracking/matchmove methods....this is something i love to do, but the power of tracking doesnt even compare to that of the auto tracking featured in 2d3's Boujou. Where it takes your shot and scans adding hundreds of its own tracker points making its own camera. that technology would just be amazing as an added feature in shake. hell even from what i saw at this year's NAB, the new version of flame even started using this technology.
2 - particle emission system....I want to be able to work with particles without having to leave the software. something basic like sparkles and smoke. it would just be nice to build a composite and say "hey i think im in the mood to make this object spit out a million kitten sprites" and then just toss up a particle emiter node.
i think that about covers it for me haha. anybody else want to share their shake feature wishlist?
