Whats with all the spam?

Holy crap, have we been hit with a lot of crappy spam the last few weeks or what? Whats the deal? All of a sudden we have a couple spammers a day here.

I cant figure this out.. they are coming from totally different IP strings...

we can also ban their emails in the "bad email" list in the admin section

Hmm yes that seems to be a good solution.. I mean i banned 2 of them on sight. They pretty much live in the general sections and the hw/sales forum as far as i can se.

But hey is there not a possibility to supennd them based on the links they do write in their mails? that could be ea realy nasty one to circumvent making a list of nonlinkable domains Hence no ability to post. Maybe a hold and review possibility of somekind perhaps

Oh dam they cracked it even the html code should be chaked for this word...

they were different links.. i've added those too. what the [censored] is up with these guys.. why the hell would they waste time registering and posting links every day.

i changed the registration process so now we dont let users choose a password they get a randomly generated password sent to their email - so the email has to be valid. So lets gather their emails when we ban them and we'll force them to have to create new email accounts for every account they create on the site. its got to get annoying to them sooner or later.

after we block their emails and links they would have to create new email accountss create a url forwarder, register on the site, go to the different setions and post, just to get about 4 views per post before they are deleted...

A new filter to take out posts that only contain a link. especialy from users with less than 20 posts?
