-if your field is connected to the cloth with a field constraint on the cloth then your problem is iether your solver scale is to low or you need to jack the airfield up higher- like 10000 to 50000, I know it seems high but if you erview the field constraint attribute it states that in order to see the fields they have to be abnormally higher- because the dynamic fields in maya are more so set up for soft and rigid bodies
-but they will work nicely with cloth, I'm currently working on creating a script to help fix this- I ran into a problem where I wanted the fields in my scene affecting the weather so to sat to also effect my characters clothing, now because fields need to have such a high megnatude - if I where to use the same fields all the atmospheric stuff/ weather would go crazy- what I had to do is duplicate all my fields and jack the magnitude way up- the script I'm working on will theoreticaly use the existing field that is linked to the weather in a scene and apply it to the cloth but just increasing the magnitude only for the cloth- so your seen stays lighter and there aren't doubles of all your dynamic fields, etc, etc.
