Why is maya fusion used for?

i heard about maya fusion and since this chapter is dedicated to maya fusion, i ask you:

What is maya fusion used for?

For what do you use maya fusion? (i am not kidding here, i dont know what is maya used for?)
can anybody tell me, please?
(is it a composer-style progy?)

It is a compositor taken from eyeon software's Digital Fusion and made to look and work more like Maya.

how does the new "eyeon" version of digitalFusion look like.

I dont know for a fact, but I believe it is different. I believe they will stay different but the technology will remain the same. I have actually been speaking with Eyeon Software about doing some things wth them.

im sure they will step out of the "cave" felt like stepping
in to a cave when starting up eyeon Fusion,
its a joy to look at AW

The program is completely same only the UI is slightly defferent. Maya Fusion has something like marking menus but only on right click and DF has fall-down menus instead.
Everything else is SAME
