Does discreet COMBUSTION and EDIT work on win2K if you upgraded from winNT?

I don't know about Edit but I've upgraded from NT to 2000 and Combustion runs perfectly.

think , the newset version of EDIT ..6? will run under 2000 but i don't think the truevision card except for th newest one Targa3000 ? runs well under 2k. Not sure of course . Call discreet*

i know, the matrox digisuite solution work on win2k (nt5) whit the release driver 5.1.

thanks for the reply, but if you upgrade from a WinNT workstation to a win2K would the program still work eventhough you upgraded instead of a clean install? I tried discreet but there sales people didn't really have an answer for, do you know who can?

Sales ? call and talk to the tech guys. But we run both under NT , although i know Combustion can run under 2k without isues. I 'm not srue on EDIT. If I were you I would stick to NT , I can't see any advantage you coudl possibly have with EDIT on 2K. Its a pretty expensive invesment to be messing with,

In my experience the best way to upgrade from NT to Win2K is to install Win2K into a new directory. Upgrading over an existing NT directory is really asking for trouble. Then reinstall all your drivers and applications.

I think your Combustion serial number and dongle should still work with the same authorization number.

Just to let you know: Edit V 6 is running on NT (NOT w2K) and using Matrox Drivers V 4.1 (NOT 5.1)
The rational is simply that w2K and Matrox V 5.1 are > NOT < stable enough for Discreet to
rely on for a reliable Edit version 6.0 release...
