i was doing to make a lot of geometry jiggle in the wind.... i have softbody dynamics on parts of the model. How can i add a field that would simulate wind... at different speeds .. turbulance over a wide area?.
would i key frame an air field to different magnitudes? and then drive all the particles with it. and lastly and most importantly... how can i keep it all from blowing away.any ideas.thanks

if you are making wind blow grass, have you tried the paintfx grass? It has dynamic attributes that make it sway in the wind. You can easily make it more or less dynamic, and it will not blow away.
just a thought. hope it helps.
actually that is a good idea.. and i'll use that in the background and side elements. But part of it has a tree shape(willow)... and i want to make the branches jiggle at different rates.. like a a strong windy day. and they will be softbody driven... too many to keyframe. Would really love to do this in some procedural method.
There is a willow tree paint fx brush. You may be able to the whole thing in paintfx. Look on this website under paintfx brushes and on aliaswavefront.com for more brushes.
