Hi guys, I have just watched one of Alex Alvarez's videos and I noticed he was using NT workstation. In the office we have Irix and 2000, but I was wondering if maybe NT was better for Maya. If so, why?
Also, has anyone tested Maya on Linux? Seems like an interesting prospect since Linux is so stable..cheers,Tren
Stay on 2000. 2000 is really NT 5.0 anyway. If you were already on NT, you could stay for a while longer, but there is no advantage in going backwards to NT, since driver support is getting harder to find now that MS is dropping support of NT.
Urp
Yeah, it really doesn't make much of a difference, 2000 or NT... I used Maya on unix for a while, stable.. but the lack of photoshop really irked me, I just couldn't get used to Matador's interface.
