WIP: modeling & rigging

Hi everyone,
This is my model that I'm working on from august 2003:) Ofcours not all the year - just when I had the time for it.
It would be great to hear some comments from you because I'm only a student (not CG) and I'm not sure if I should move into the cg field as a proffesional...

P.S> The link is to one of the Russian forums where uploading is allowed, so don't worry that you can't read anything:)

And here is the first animation test: http://dl.xaker.ru/michael\_fd/Walk\_test\_c2.avi
Hope to here your comments.

Gezzz That one Awsome looking robot michael! Was it modelled with pure geometry of does it have dissplacement maps? Did you use LW to model it?

"Was it modelled with pure geometry of does it have dissplacement maps?"

Are you kidding? It's not even rendered - those are just desktop screenshots:) So ofcourse it's all modeled, but I'm afraid you can see only a little part of it, because the lack of antialiasing at viewports eats most of the detail and the lowest jpeg quality kills it at all.
Thanks, I'm glad you'v liked it:) Only Maya.

Jezz I love building robots as well, but your robot blew me away! How long did it take to model? The aniamtion was really cool ,the camera jiggle gave it so much realisim too. I can't wait to see it fully rendered and textured.

The model looks nice. The only thing is that the camera work seems overly jittery now, and you can't quite get a good full view of your model. It would be nice to be able to see the entire thing in motion, as it is, it's like just getting a close up on the leg.

Excellent work though.
