Working with Cineon files

I am currently testing the suitability of Combustion with Cineon files. I am using Combustion V1, windows NT. Does anybody have suggestions for a smooth trouble free workflow. I realise Cineon will be a lot slower to work with, but is combustion really suitable for this purpose and if so, what are the ways to maximise the workflow for these files ?
For instance the Cineon colour converter, what is the best way to incoporate this into the workflow.

I recently finished a 35mm project with it. (a couple short shots with FX and compositing). The cineon converter worked well for me, but I did quite a bit of homework to assure myself that it would work.
