Write1 Error

hello,
on v5 now
i am getting a 'Couldnt create output movie storage -50' error when i try to render the sequence. i have tried different locations desktop/drive etc. i have tried different compressors and settings in write node.
also if i try to write jpg sequence i get 'Write1 cannot be executed for multiple frames'.
this output seemed to work fine on v4.
any ideas

I know that this may sound overwhelming simple as a possible fix, BUT I' too have experienced the same "Write1 Error, cannot write sequence" issue, and have discovered that if you turn OFF the proxy view mode (in the active Viewer panel), the Write node will render the sequential frames (..of course you'll also need to have the output filename include the numerical pad string (i.e. "%04d") -But you probably already knew that...
