XSI 2.0 crashes with weight paint tool

Every time I try to use the weight paint tool on an envelope I get an error saying XSI has generated errors. Windows will close the application. Error log is being created.

Can any one help? Does anyone know what is causing this crash and how can I avoid it?

Weight painting is closely tied with graphic card performance. It's very important you have a good OGL card for this, with the latest drivers. Radeon cards are also notorious for problems with XSI.
